It very much depends on your equity, all in all between 50% and 100% of the account equity depending on the year and the volatility which varies from cycle to cycle.
That is the million dollars question, being long @1304 you should have stopped the position out @1294 as we suggested when 1300 was broken to the upside. You better hedge the position and see what happens this week with the price.

My stop was hit yesterday @1282 from the 1290 short, this is a new short @1277 but I will close it in 1 hour if it does not go down quickly.

DeleteHi Guys, so the short is still soaking, turned into a profit, so I'm keeping it open, moving the SL closer if todays close is below 1270
